Adding Parts on the Fly Through a Work Order

  1. When creating a WO, if the part does not exist in the system, you will get a pop-up message as shown in the image below, when you try to adjust the quantity or when you click add at the bottom right. If you wish to create a part file, click Add Part.

  2. Once the necessary information has been entered, click the create box.

Adding Parts on the Fly Through a Purchase Order

Part files can be created “on the fly” when posting to work orders or adding lines to purchase orders. This is due to a part file not currently existing in the software for one reason or another that needs to be posted to a work order or ordered from a vendor via a purchase order.

The system recognizes that the part number being entered does not exist and gives a user with permissions to add part files the ability to add the part file at the same time.
