Perhaps a job that was previously deferred will never be completed due to the vehicle being retired or other reasons. Deferred jobs can be added, modified, or deleted using the Deferred Jobs Management screen (WF).
To defer a job without creating a work order, do the following:

  1. Select WOs > Deferred Jobs from the RTA main menu (WF).
  2. Enter a vehicle number or press F1 to select a vehicle from the lookup list.
  3. Click the Add Item button on the toolbar.
  4. Enter the VMRS code and other information prompted to describe the job that will be deferred.
  5. Click Exit to save the deferral.

To modify a deferred job that was previously created, do the following:

  1. Select WOs > Deferred Jobs from the RTA main menu (WF).
  2. Enter a vehicle number or press F1 to select a vehicle from the lookup list.
  3. The deferred jobs are displayed. Highlight the desired job in the list and click the Edit Item button on the toolbar.
  4. Make the desired changes to the job details.
  5. Click Exit to save the changes.

To cancel/delete a deferred job, do the following:

  1. Select WOs > Deferred Jobs from the RTA main menu (WF).
  2. Enter a vehicle number or press F1 to select a vehicle from the lookup list.
  3. The deferred jobs are displayed. Highlight the desired job in the list and click the Delete Item button on the toolbar.
  4. Click Exit to save the changes.
