Copying Transferring a part is sometimes necessary if you would like to create a new part record in another facility but do not necessarily want to create it from scratch. The copy utility need to move part quantities from one facility to another to allow a part to show that it was physically moved from one location to the another. This process will also adjusts both inventories as well. The Transfer option will copy over just the main master information for the part found in the main part record screen:

  1. Click Manage Part

Select the Copy Radio button

From here you select the “Facility” to Copy to from pull down list

  1. You can select an initial on hand quantity for the new part being copied over or you can put an initial value of 0 (Zero) if you wish

  2. You can select an initial on Part Price for the new part being copied over or you can put an initial value of $0.00 if you wish

  1. Part File Primary Info Panel

  2. Click Transfer

  3. Select:

    1. The FROM: “Facility” to Transfer the part out of and you can use the drop down list to select a facility

    2. The Bin (Amount Available) Stock area you want to pull quantity from

    3. The Quantity you wish to Transfer

  4. Then Select:

    1. The TO: “Facility” to Transfer the part to and you can use the drop down list to select a facility

    2. The Bin (Amount Available) Stock area you want to push the quantity into

    3. The new quantity will automatically show up

  5. Click Save at the bottom of the side panel
