The tools list displays all tools that have been added to the RTA software. This list can be viewed as a whole or can be sorted/adjusted for specific views. The ability to sort and customize columns as well as to export the master list are available.

This article will cover the various columns that can appear on the Tools Master List as well as actions that can be taken while viewing the list.

Searching the Tools Master List

The search bar at the top of the master list will allow the user to search by specific datasets.

  1. Enter the data to search in the search bar

  2. Press Enter

  3. The list will re-display with all the line items that contain a matching result

Columns appearing on the Tools Master List

There are 10 columns available for display on the Tools Master List. Users can use the “Column Chooser” option to remove or add columns from those four. Refer to Customizing Master List Columns for instructions on doing so if needed. The description of each is listed below.

  • Facility = The facility the tool is assigned to

  • Tool# = The file number/reference number for the tool in the RTA software

  • Description = Description of the tool as entered during the creation of the file

  • Serial Number = Tools assigned serial number if entered during the creation of the file

  • BIN = Location of the tool when not in use (similar to bin locations for part files)

  • Last Check Out = Displays the last date when the tool was checked out for use

  • Last Check Out User = Displays the user (must be set up in RTA software as a user) who checked the tool out last

  • Last Check In = Displays the date when the tool was last checked in

  • Last Check-in User = Displays the user that last returned the tool

  • Status = Current status of the tool (Available, In Use, Repair, etc)

    • Statuses can be defined using the Tool Status option in Tool Settings

Actions that can be performed on the Tool Master List
