Posting Parts

If your mechanics do not post their own parts, a parts clerk or supervisor can use the View Current Shop Activity screen to do so. Simply select the mechanic and then click the POST LINE button on the toolbar. The familiar work order posting screen will appear, prompting for the part numbers used by the mechanic. Parts charged out here will be posted to the active job that the mechanic is working on. TIP: This screen can be run on a parts room workstation. This allows parts personnel to quickly and easily issue out parts to the mechanic. There is no need to lookup the work order number, vehicle, or employee id!
