Setting Up Equipment Types

Prior to adding equipment records to the system, you should define equipment types. Up to 40 various types of equipment can be defined in RTA. Equipment types can be added, viewed, changed, or deleted by using the *\[Equipment\] Types* option. The equipment type file is used by the entire system and is not facility specific. To maintain equipment types, do the following:

  1. Select Master > Equipment > Types from the RTA main menu (MET).

  2. Enter up to four characters for the type code and up to 20 characters for the description. This option looks and acts a little differently depending on your RTA operating system version.
