A Cause Code defines the cause of failure for an asset. You can add up to 99 cause codes. Cause Codes are used within the Work Order Line, in the Add/Edit line information box, and dictate the cause for the particular Work Order Line.

Adding a new cause code

From the main menu, select Maint. & Repair> Settings> Cause

  1. Select the (plus) NEWCODE Box.

2. Add a Code # and Description.

  1. Click save and the new cause code should display in your code list.

Editing a cause code

  1. Select the cause code you wish to edit by clicking on it from the list.

  2. Click in the code and description box, and you will be allowed to enter the new information.

  3. Click the check mark to confirm.

Deleting a cause code

  1. Click on the trashcan next to the code you wish to delete.

  2. Click delete when the confirmation box pops up.
