Set or Change Customer Flat Rates

This utility program creates and changes customer flat rate records for a range of customers.

Running the Utility

  1. Select System > Custom Utilities II > Misc Utilities > Set Customer Flat Rate from the RTA main menu (SIMF).
  2. Read the message displayed and then choose Yes to continue.
  3. Enter the flat rate VMRS code or press F1 to select a VMRS code from the lookup lists.
  4. Select FL from the drop down list for labor-only flat rates. Select FP for flat rates on labor and parts.
  5. Select a radio button to indicate when records will be created and updated. The following occurs for the customer in the specified range when the Matching Only radio button is selected.
    1. If the flat rate record with a matching VMRS code does not exist, a new one will be created.
    2. If an existing flat rate record contains a matching VMRS code and flat rate code, it will be updated with the new cost data.
    3. If an existing flat rate record contains a matching VMRS code but the flat rate code differs, no changes will be made to that record.
    4. The following occurs for the customer in the specified range when the Update All radio button is selected.
    5. If the flat rate record with a matching VMRS code does not exist, a new one will be created.
    6. If an existing flat rate record contains a matching VMRS code, it will be updated with the new cost data and flat rate code.
  6. Enter the new flat rate cost for parts and/or labor.
  7. Enter the starting and ending customer facility number or press F1 to make the selection from a lookup list.
  8. Enter the starting and ending customer number or press F1 to make the selection from a lookup list.
