Downloading Vehicle Data

When the download button is clicked, a prompt comes up asking if you want to proceed with the download. Next, a list is displayed. Select the information you want to import into the vehicle file. All options are selected by default. Double click the line to edit the destination of the data: GDF Field, Class GDF, Vehicle Notes, etc. By default, data will be placed in standard RTA fields if a description match is found. If the value is too large for a GDF field, the Vehicle notes will be selected instead. You can override the default location, but data will be lost when the maximum field size is reached. New GDF fields are created if a matching field is not found. The incoming data will overwrite the existing data, so it is best to do this with a new record or make note of any information you have in the record before uploading from VinLink.
