Bad Tricoder Upload with Remote Desktop

Problem

When uploading data from a tricoder into RTA, there are multiple rejections because it is changing the # sign into the number three. This only occurs when using a Remote Desktop Connection.

Solution

  1. In the Remote Desktop Connection screen, click the "Options" button at the bottom of the screen to open up the Tabs. You can access this screen by typing in Remote Desktop into the start menu.
  2. Click the "Local Resources" tab. In the "Keyboard" section, change the drop down menu to "On this computer" or "On the local computer" if you are using Windows XP.
  3. This should fix the issue. Redo the upload into RTA and check to make sure it doesn't reject those transactions.
