Report Summary

The Vehicle Aging report provides a detailed breakdown of vehicle age across your fleet based on in-service date, life meter readings, and classification groupings. This report is particularly useful for fleet managers looking to evaluate vehicle lifecycle, plan for replacements, and manage aging assets across facilities or departments.

Use Case

  • Identify older vehicles approaching or exceeding lifecycle thresholds for replacement planning

  • Monitor and group vehicle aging data by Facility, Class, or Department

  • Align vehicle replacement budgets with real usage and age data

  • Evaluate fleet condition for strategic planning and investment forecasting

This parameter gives the user the ability to choose the next sub-grouping after facility. Each respective group will have a total.

‘None' will skip the grouping altogether and give a list sorted by vehicle; use this if you wish to export to Excel.

Report Output and Data Elements

Report Output

The Vehicle Aging report generates a grouped list of vehicles showing their current life meter readings, in-service dates, and calculated age in months. Groupings are based on selected criteria such as Class, Customer, or Department. It includes subtotals and averages by each vehicle group, helping to quickly compare aging patterns within classifications. The report also displays purchase price and purchase date, further aiding in ROI evaluation.
